A: No! Second Helpings
uses donated and rescued food to feed about 2,800 hungry
people a day in Indianapolis. But Just ‘Cause Catering never uses donated food.
All of our food is purchased and prepared fresh.
A: Just ‘Cause supports the mission
of Second Helpings in at least three ways: all profits we
generate support the work of Second Helpings; we employ graduates
of the Second Helpings Culinary Arts training program; and
any surplus and over-prepared food we have is donated to
Second Helpings’ hunger
relief program.
A: One of Just ‘Cause Catering’s
areas of specialty is contract meals—that is, meals
for schools, senior centers, and other organizations that
are required to provide wholesome, nutritionally balanced
meals to their students or guests. Just ‘Cause Catering
has partnered with Slow Food Indy to work with local farmers
and create meals out of seasonally fresh products, meats,
and dairy products. Our clients always get food at the peak
of flavor and nutritional value.
A: Yes! Conference room and banquet space are available at the
Eugene and Marilyn Glick Center. Ask us about accommodating
your next meeting or special function!
